 She has also danced at a number of Nrithya Uthsavs arranged by the Kendra Sangeeth Natak Academy all over India. She has given lecture demonstrations in universities and other cultural organizations such as the Kalakshetra, Kalamandalam and the Nrithyagram for the promotion of Indian classical dance forms. Smitha has performed in Europe, US, Far East, Middle East and completed more than one thousand professional stages world wide even before she turned 30. In addition to Mohiniyattam, Smitha has also been formally trained in Kathakali and Bharatanatyam. She has had the opportunity and blessing of sharing stages with her grandfather - Kathakali dancer Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair.
